If you have never participated in Connecticut Business Day, this should be the year you join us! With the state careening from one fiscal crisis to another, it is time for businesses large and small to stand before our legislators and the governor and present a united front.
The Waterbury Regional Chamber charters a bus -- which is free to attendees -- to take business people from the region to the State Capitol for the event. This year, the bus leaves at 8:30 a.m. from the parking lot at Sears Auto Center at the Brass Mill Center mall. In the past few years, the Waterbury Chamber's delegation has been among the largest!
Once at the Capitol, you'll be able to meet and talk with your state legislators and policymakers, participate in a panel discussion targeted for our region, and have a catered lunch also attended by legislators.
We then bring you back to Waterbury by 2 p.m., so you'll have the rest of the afternoon to head back to work.
Whether you care about taxes, sound fiscal policy, transportation, the minimum wage, or something else that directly affects your business, then you really need to be on this bus. This is your chance to make your opinions heard at the Capitol in Hartford.
