Through Chamber events and programs, members can showcase their company's products and services, stay abreast of the latest market trends, and learn how proposed legislation and regulations may impact the business community.  



 Annual Business Meeting

Meet fellow Chamber members and assist in establishing the Chamber’s agenda and programs by attending the annual meeting. Attendance is just one of the many opportunities for you to put your chamber membership to work in the interests of your business.



 Business Women’s Forum

The Forum sponsors a day-long conference that has become one of the most popular in the Northeast. The conference features a series of workshops and panels led by noted experts designed to assist women in achieving their professional and personal objectives by developing new skills, perspectives, and business contacts. The opportunity to hear and meet nationally-known guest speakers is a special highlight for many attendees.

The Forum awards scholarships to local college students in recognition of their scholastic and personal achievements. It’s prestigious Woman of the Year Award is presented to a local business woman who has demonstrated leadership and excellence. The conference is generously sponsored by many companies committed to equality of opportunity and advancement for women in business.



 Candidate's Debate

In election years, the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee provides a forum for candidates for public office, enabling Chamber members, and the public, to make informed decisions. The Chamber has hosted debates for local and national offices.



 Golf Tournament

The Chamber’s annual golf tournament provides members and their guests an opportunity to hit the links, and perhaps talk a little business! It’s a unique opportunity to play one of the premier golf courses in the region, the Country Club of Waterbury. After a round of golf, everyone’s a winner at the tournament dinner as prizes are awarded and golfers exchange their best tips and quips.



 Harold Webster Smith Awards

The Harold Webster Smith Awards were established by the Chamber's Small Business Council to recognize companies which have shown achievement and excellence in small business.

The Chamber hosts this program to honor the legacy of Harold Webster Smith, founder of Webster Bank, who supported, and helped nurture, small business development within the Greater Waterbury Region.

Nominations are accepted each fall, and the winners are honored at a breakfast each January.

 



 Malcolm Baldrige Awards

Few can claim to have had a greater impact on American industry than Malcolm "Mac  Baldrige". His accomplishments are chronicled worldwide in newspapers, magazines, documents, and journals. He is well known in Russia and China, where he negotiated trade talks during his tenure as Secretary of Commerce during the Reagan Administration. He is acknowledged in America for his legacy of success through quality.

Baldrige is embraced here in Waterbury, a city he frequently used as a springboard for his economic and business development activities. A former chairman of the board of directors of the Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce, Baldrige worked for more than two decades as president and CEO of Scovill Manufacturing. He continually demonstrated his beliefs in community, leadership, and volunteerism as he worked for the betterment of the Greater Waterbury Region.

 Manufacturing Symposium

“Check out the real world of Manufacturing” and learn more about manufacturing career opportunities that exist in Greater Waterbury. In its 5th year, this event is geared to students in grades 6-12.  It mixes fun with education to communicate that great careers exist in today’s manufacturing industry. The students prepare in an educational session and then have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with nearly 50 manufacturers to become further engaged in manufacturing demonstrations and get a close-up look at what manufacturing is all about in Greater Waterbury. 



 Out for Business

Meet your next business partner through this monthly networking program. Chamber members and guests are invited to expand their business contacts and renew acquaintances in an enjoyable evening of networking.



Regional Economic Forecast Conference

The best minds in New England business, academia, and government share their outlook for the national, state, and regional economy and how best to strengthen it. Top economists, business leaders, and academic experts are in attendance at the Chamber’s economic conference to gain insight into the economic future of Greater Waterbury business.



 Small Business Roundtables

Small Business Roundtables focus on relevant issues facing today’s businesses and feature presenters on topics such as growing your business, marketing, finance, and human resource issues.



 State of the State Dinner

Meet the governor and area legislators at this annual event, which provides a look at the issues that may affect your business. Members are seated with legislators to help foster relationships between the business community and government officials.
