The Chambers’ Health Care Council provides a forum for the region’s health care providers to network, exchange information and discuss topics of mutual interest as well as to serve as a clearinghouse for health topics that impact the greater Waterbury region’s business community. The Council identifies issues relevant to health care legislation and supports the Chambers’ Public Policy Committee by providing feedback and information for inclusion in the Legislative Agenda. The Chambers’ Health Care Council holds topical educational seminars featuring industry experts throughout the program year.  Member companies are encouraged to sponsor these well-attended events.

In an effort to provide more networking opportunities for health care professionals and those in related fields, the Health Care Council has developed a new series of events entitled "Out For Health" programs.  Similar to Out For Businesses, the Out For Health series offers Health Care Council members an opportunity to network with one another, swap brochures, and chat over light hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.  To accommodate health care professionals’ schedules, they are held early on Monday evenings, typically from 4 to 6 p.m.  They are held every few months, each time at a different venue.  This affords businesses an opportunity to show off their facilities and attendees a chance to visit companies which they might not otherwise have access to.
